Trips to Telluride

We've only ever gone to Telluride as a family with Kaden and the McGloins -- they are an integral part of our every memory of this mountain.  From Kaden flying down the blacks (often a bit wobbly, but never in doubt!) to sharing rabbit goulash and pink champagne with the adults at Alpino Vino, and then flying through the Enchanted Garden, Kaden made each experience all the sweeter.  After making pizzas or indulging Kaden's Thai food leanings at Hongas or Siam, we'd break out the Blokus board and rivalry between Kaden's "enchanted forest green" and Jamie's "snow urine yellow" would make for late night epic battles.  When we were feeling more intellectual, we'd play "the Dictionary game" and were always awed at how Kaden could actually hang, from the age of 11, with us adults.  Unless of course he was tempted to give himself up for a funny jab at Jamie - which was often the case!  Kaden was a big brother to Zander, helping him light the candle chandelier, showing him how to splash his mom in the hot tub and building crazy snow igloos with Z and Uncle Jamie!   Of course there was a fair amount of Patriots/Steelers banter - and Kaden really indulged Zander in this!  When the younger siblings came along, Kaden was an awesome big brother to all and even went sledding with Carolina (begging his parents for a baby sister of his own, and guess who showed up in Telluride the following year!  BabyRomy!).
